NEW RMT Alert We’re excited to welcome Jonathan Myers, RMT to the Momentum team! Jonathan will be available multiple days a week and welcomes new clients to his practice. Make sure to read his bio in the link to staff profiles.

Abby’s last shift was Monday, March 25th. If you have been a client of Abby’s, she has accepted a position in her new career in social work. This is exciting for her but sad news for us. We encourage Abby’s clients to try all RMTs in our office to continue with their massage therapy care and find the best fit for you. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

SCHEDULING WITH MONICA: Monica will be focusing her practice on fascial work, cranial and visceral release, and joint mobilizations. Treatments will be a departure from “typical” massage therapy sessions. We encourage you to try a few sessions to see if this approach to massage therapy care is a good fit for you.

ARE YOU NEW TO OUR OFFICE? 75- or 90-minute Initial Massage Therapy Appointments are mandatory for all clients who are new to our clinic. We do have a 60-minute option but please be aware that this is not our preference and will leave you with less treatment time as health history review and assessment are a mandatory part of care. Please bring shorts and a t-shirt, extended health benefits information, and any xray reports, physician referrals, or other diagnostic information to help with your assessment.

RETURNING CLIENTS: Please book your appointments as “Follow-Up” treatments.

If you are sick, please contact us to reschedule your appointment. We have a 24-hour cancellation policy with a fee that is HALF or the FULL cost of your appointment. If your late cancellation is unavoidable, please contact our office ASAP so we can make other arrangements for you.

Since graduating in 2018 from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in Halifax, Jonathan has been offering treatments in multi-disciplinary healthcare settings, working with individuals of all ages and walks of life. Jonathan loves working with clients on their journey toward maintaining and developing wellness of body and mind using a patient focused, goal oriented approach to massage therapy.

Jonathan uses a variety of effective therapeutic techniques to meet his client’s massage therapy goals. These include deep tissue massage, trigger point release, joint mobilizations, instrument assisted massage (ie., gua sha and cupping), myofascial release, swedish techniques, and hot stones. Deeper, more direct techniques can be helpful with releasing general tension and to help relieve conditions like reduced range of motion, postural discomfort, tension headaches, carpal tunnel syndrome, sciatica and plantar fasciitis. Lighter massage techniques are used with people living with conditions like fibromyalgia, migraine headaches, TMJ disfunction, or inflammation and neurological imbalances.

When not working, Jonathan enjoys spending time at home in Hubley, with his wife Amanda and their two cats.
