NEW CLIENTS: Bring shorts and a t-shirt along with any x-ray reports and other diagnostic information to ensure treatment safety and efficiency. Your RMT will request to see those to ensure we know what to treat.

We have a 24-hour cancellation policy with a fee that is HALF or the FULL cost of your appointment. If your late cancellation is unavoidable, please contact our office ASAP so we can make other arrangements for you. Late cancellations/no-shows prevent us from being able to offer a time to people on the wait list. Thank you for respecting this policy.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION RE: DIRECT BILLING Starting September 1, 2025, we will no longer be direct billing insurers. With ease of access to insurer apps, emailed receipts, & the increasing administrative costs related to claim submission, we have opted to discontinue this complementary service. Thank you for understanding.

Osteopathy (Coming Soon! ETA Winter 2026)
COMING SOON: ETA winter 2026! If you would like to be added to the notification list for Manual Osteopathy, let us know by sending us an email at info@momentumwellness.ca, attn: Osteopathy Waitlist. You can also stay informed by following us on Facebook and subscribing to our e-newsletter.
Osteopathy is a gentle, holistic manual therapy that views the body as an interconnected system, focusing on the relationship between structure and function. Hands-on techniques are used to find and treat the root cause of issues, rather than just symptoms, by addressing the entire body to optimize overall health and promote its innate ability to heal. This approach treats a variety of conditions, including musculoskeletal problems, sports injuries, chronic pain, digestive issues, respiratory issues, and headaches.
Practitioners use a variety of techniques which include soft tissue manipulation, osteoarticular joint mobilization, cranial osteopathy, and visceral manipulation, to restore balance and function. Appointments typically begin with a full-body assessment to identify restrictions and imbalances throughout the body, even those not commonly thought of as being directly related to the area of pain. This is because pain and discomfort are symptoms of an issue and do not always express the true nature of the problem. Often there is more than one factor contributing to the symptoms you are experiencing.
What to expect during your first appointment with an osteopathic manual therapist:
INTAKE: A complete history taking of your previous and current health status.
ASSESSMENT & INITIAL TREATMENT: A physical evaluation to determine your condition and ensure that you are safe to receive osteopathic manual treatment. Osteopathic manual therapists will assess the structures of your body for: mobility, position, vitality/quality of tissues and develop a treatment plan.
Be sure to wear comfortable loose fitting clothes such as shorts and a T-shirt, tank top or sports bra.
Who Benefits from Osteopathy? People of all ages and varied conditions, however we see many patients who have plateaued with other treatments. These include chronic spinal conditions, headaches, TMD and post whiplash/ MVA. We also treat babies and children.
